Faux
Freckles
Value:
$250-$350
Session Duration:
1-2.5 hours
Faux Freckles is a cosmetic tattoo technique designed to create a natural, sun-kissed look by delicately depositing pigment into the skin to mimic the appearance of real freckles. Using natural-colored pigments, this method enhances your features with a playful yet subtle effect that adds character and warmth to your complexion. Faux freckles are perfect for those who want a soft, effortless beauty look without the need for makeup.
Unlike traditional makeup, Faux Freckles provide a long-lasting, natural appearance that won’t smudge or fade throughout the day. This technique is customizable to match your desired level of coverage, with three tiers to choose from: light, moderate, and full. Whether you prefer a few delicate freckles or a fuller pattern across your cheeks and nose, the procedure begins with a detailed consultation to determine the ideal placement and style for your features.
For a more personalized touch, Faux Freckles also offers unique add-on styles. Choose Constellation or Zodiac Freckles to have some of your freckles arranged in the shape of a constellation or zodiac sign of your choice, adding a celestial element to your look. Or opt for Heart Freckles, featuring tiny, naturally colored hearts that subtly blend into your skin. Heart Freckles aren’t limited to the face; they can be applied to other areas of the body, allowing you to create a completely unique look. Clients are encouraged to specify their desired coverage and add-ons during the consultation to ensure the best results.
Ideal For: Clients who want a natural, freckled appearance or a playful, customized design on their skin. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Longevity: Faux Freckles can last up to 2 years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. A 6-8 week touch-up is included with this service to refine the freckles and make any necessary adjustments. If an additional touch-up is desired, it must be done 4-6 weeks after the included touch-up for an additional $100-$150. Any touch-up beyond this point will be considered a maintenance service and charged accordingly.
3 STYLES AVAILABLE
-
Light Coverage
Light coverage creates a subtle scattering of freckles that mimic a naturally sun-kissed look. This tier is ideal for clients who want a hint of freckles that appear delicate and understated, giving a soft touch of charm to the skin. The freckles are placed strategically to blend seamlessly with your complexion, adding a touch of playfulness without overpowering your natural features.
-
Moderate Coverage
Moderate coverage provides a balanced look with a more noticeable pattern of freckles across the cheeks, nose, and other areas. This option is perfect for those who want their freckles to stand out a bit more while still maintaining a natural appearance. The freckles are distributed evenly to create a cohesive, realistic effect that enhances your facial features with a touch of warmth and character.
-
Full Coverage
Full coverage offers a bolder look with a denser pattern of freckles that can extend across the cheeks, nose, and beyond, giving the impression of a true freckled complexion. This tier is ideal for clients who love the look of freckles and want them to be a prominent feature on their skin. It creates a natural effect that adds depth and texture to the overall look, making it perfect for those who embrace a more dramatic freckled style.

Recent Accutane Use: Clients must wait at least 12 months after completing Accutane treatment before scheduling a procedure. This medication can significantly affect skin healing and sensitivity, so it's important to allow ample time for your skin to return to its normal state.
Sunburn or Tanned Skin: Clients with sunburned or recently tanned skin should wait until their skin has fully healed before getting the freckle procedure, as damaged skin may not retain pigment properly.
PROCESS
Consultation: Your Faux Freckles journey begins with a detailed consultation where we discuss your goals for achieving a natural, sun-kissed look. We assess your skin tone, facial features, and overall style to ensure the Faux Freckles technique is the best option for you. During this consultation, you’ll have the opportunity to choose your desired level of coverage—light, moderate, or full—as well as any add-on styles like constellation or heart-shaped freckles to personalize your look.
Mapping and Design: Next, we carefully map out the freckle placement, taking into account your natural skin texture and facial contours. We’ll guide you through the different coverage options, from a light sprinkle of freckles to a fuller pattern, and help you decide on any unique add-on styles such as zodiac or heart freckles. Once the design is finalized, you’ll have the chance to review and approve the placement, ensuring you’re completely satisfied with the planned outcome.
Application: Once the design is approved, we proceed with the Faux Freckles application. Using a tattoo machine, we delicately deposit natural-colored pigments into the skin to create a realistic freckle effect. The freckles are applied in layers, allowing us to gradually build the desired level of coverage while maintaining a soft, natural look. This gentle technique minimizes skin trauma and promotes a quicker healing process.
Aftercare: Proper aftercare is crucial for the best results and long-lasting freckles. You will receive detailed aftercare instructions to follow in the days and weeks after the procedure. This includes avoiding direct sun exposure, harsh skincare products, and activities that may cause excessive sweating to protect the treated area during healing.
Touch-Up: A 6-8 week touch-up is included with this service to refine the freckles and make any necessary adjustments. If an additional touch-up is needed, it must be scheduled 4-6 weeks after the included touch-up for an additional $100-$150. Any touch-up beyond this will be considered a maintenance service.
MAINTENANCE
Due to the nature of permanent makeup gradually fading over time, it’s essential to schedule maintenance appointments to keep your Faux Freckles looking natural and defined. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and medical conditions can affect how quickly the freckles fade. We recommend a maintenance session every 12 to 18 months, or once your pigment has faded by 50–75%, to maintain the fresh, sun-kissed look of your freckles.
Maintenance Pricing based on Coverage:
Within a year: A discounted rate for clients maintaining their freckles within a year of their initial session.
Light: $175
Moderate: $200
Full: $225
Over 1 year: A slightly higher rate for clients who return after a year, ensuring their freckles are refreshed and any minor fading is corrected.
Light: $200
Moderate: $225
Full: $250
If your Faux Freckles have faded significantly beyond 2 years, a full initial session may be necessary to restore the desired look. Regular maintenance not only preserves the natural appearance of your freckles but also extends the lifespan of the pigment, keeping your skin looking radiant and freckle-kissed for years to come.

Permanent makeup is a beautiful investment that naturally fades over time, with the duration varying based on factors like skin type, lifestyle, and skincare routines. We provide an estimate of how long your service might last, but each individual’s experience can be different—some clients may notice fading sooner, while others may retain their results longer. Oily skin, frequent facials, the use of skincare products like retinol or acids, and activities that cause excessive sweating can accelerate the fading process. We recommend scheduling maintenance appointments only once the pigment has faded by 50-75% to ensure your look remains natural and fresh. Touching up too soon or too often can lead to oversaturation, causing the pigment to blur or create a ‘blocky’ appearance. If your brows or other PMU areas are still holding well, there's no rush to book a refresher. Allowing your permanent makeup to fade naturally helps maintain that crisp, defined look without the risk of overworking the skin. If you're unsure whether you're ready for a touch-up, feel free to reach out with photos, and we’ll guide you on the best timing for your maintenance.
