                  Neutralization

Value:

$500

Session Duration:

3-3.5 hours

Lip Neutralization is a specialized cosmetic tattoo technique designed for clients with melanin-rich or hyper-pigmented lips who wish to balance and even out their natural lip tone. This procedure helps to camouflage unwanted blue, purple, or dark tones by carefully depositing pigment to create a more uniform, natural-looking lip color. Lip Neutralization is ideal for clients seeking to achieve a more balanced lip tone before applying any additional color. Depending on the level of pigmentation and desired results, two to four sessions may be required.

Using a tattoo machine, Lip Neutralization applies fine dots of pigment evenly across the lips, offering better control, less skin trauma, and long-lasting, smudge-proof, and waterproof color. This method is tailored to balance out lip tone and can be customized to match a variety of skin tones and preferences. It’s an excellent option for clients with sensitive skin or those seeking a natural, low-maintenance solution to hyper-pigmented lips.

In addition to balancing lip color, Lip Neutralization helps improve the overall appearance of the lips, making them look smoother and more even. This procedure is ideal for anyone looking to minimize the appearance of uneven pigmentation and achieve a natural, harmonious look.

Ideal For: Clients with melanin-rich or hyper-pigmented lips who wish to balance dark tones, camouflage blue/purple pigmentation, and achieve a more even lip color. Suitable for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin.

Longevity: Lip Neutralization can last up to 3 years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. The first touch-up is included with the service and must be done 10-12 weeks post-procedure to perfect the first results. Additional touch-ups can be booked for $100, but they must be scheduled 10-12 weeks apart and consecutively. If the chain of touch-ups is broken, it will be considered that the desired results have been achieved, and any future bookings within 2 years will be charged as a maintenance service.

3 OPTIONS AVAILABLE

  • Top Lip Neutralization

This option focuses solely on neutralizing dark or uneven pigmentation on the top lip. It’s perfect for clients who only have blue or purple tones on their upper lip and wish to balance the color for a more even appearance. This treatment will help blend the top lip color with the natural tone of the bottom lip, providing a harmonious and natural look.

  • Bottom Lip Neutralization

For clients who experience hyper-pigmentation primarily on the bottom lip, this option targets the lower lip to correct dark or uneven tones. Bottom Lip Neutralization ensures a balanced and even appearance, complementing the natural color of the top lip while achieving a more uniform lip tone.

  • Full Lip Neutralization

Full Lip Neutralization is ideal for clients who have hyper-pigmentation on both the top and bottom lips. This option balances and corrects the entire lip area, neutralizing any unwanted blue or purple tones and creating a smoother, more even lip color across both lips. This comprehensive treatment is perfect for those looking to achieve a fully uniform lip tone.

PROCESS

Consultation: Your Lip Neutralization journey begins with a detailed consultation where we discuss your goals for achieving a balanced lip tone. We assess your natural lip color, any existing pigmentation, and overall skin type to ensure that Lip Neutralization is the best approach for you. You’re encouraged to share your desired results, and we’ll discuss the number of sessions needed to achieve the most effective outcome.

Mapping and Design: We then carefully analyze your lips to identify areas of pigmentation that require neutralization. We’ll plan the design, ensuring symmetry between your upper and lower lips and balancing any uneven tones. You’ll have the opportunity to review and approve the design before we proceed, ensuring you are fully satisfied with the planned treatment.

Application: Once the design is approved, we proceed with the Lip Neutralization application. Using a tattoo machine, we gently deposit pigment to neutralize blue, purple, or dark tones. After the outline and first layer of pigment are applied, a high-quality numbing agent is used to maximize comfort during the remaining layers. The process involves gradual layering of pigment to create an even, balanced lip tone. This gentle technique promotes a smooth healing process with minimal discomfort.

Aftercare: Proper aftercare is essential for achieving the best results with Lip Neutralization. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing. This includes guidelines on avoiding sun exposure, certain skincare products, and other factors that could affect pigment retention.

Touch-Up: A 10-12 week touch-up is included with this service to refine the lip tone and ensure consistent results. If additional touch-ups are necessary, they must be booked 10-12 weeks apart for $100 each to maintain continuity. If a touch-up is missed outside of this timeframe, it will be considered a maintenance service at the regular price, as this indicates the desired results were likely achieved.

MAINTENANCE

Due to the nature of permanent makeup gradually fading over time, it's essential to schedule maintenance appointments to keep your Lip Neutralization looking fresh and defined. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and medical conditions can affect how quickly your lips fade. We recommend a maintenance session every 12 to 18 months, or once your pigment has faded by 50–75%, to maintain the vibrancy and shape of your lips.

  • Maintenance Pricing:

    • Within a year $400: A discounted rate for clients maintaining their lips within a year of their initial session.

    • Over 1 year $450: A slightly higher rate for clients who return after a year, ensuring the lips are refreshed and any minor fading is corrected.

If your Lip Neutralization has faded significantly beyond 2 years, a full initial session may be necessary to restore the desired look. Regular maintenance not only preserves the integrity of your lips but also prolongs the lifespan of the pigment, keeping them looking flawless throughout the years.

  • Permanent makeup is a beautiful investment that naturally fades over time, with the duration varying based on factors like skin type, lifestyle, and skincare routines. We provide an estimate of how long your service might last, but each individual’s experience can be different—some clients may notice fading sooner, while others may retain their results longer. Oily skin, frequent facials, the use of skincare products like retinol or acids, and activities that cause excessive sweating can accelerate the fading process. We recommend scheduling maintenance appointments only once the pigment has faded by 50-75% to ensure your look remains natural and fresh. Touching up too soon or too often can lead to oversaturation, causing the pigment to blur or create a ‘blocky’ appearance. If your brows or other PMU areas are still holding well, there's no rush to book a refresher. Allowing your permanent makeup to fade naturally helps maintain that crisp, defined look without the risk of overworking the skin. If you're unsure whether you're ready for a touch-up, feel free to reach out with photos, and we’ll guide you on the best timing for your maintenance.
